A partnership between Ouidah and Baltimore will be established in the field of culture with a view to the return to their roots of black Americans. According to Bunmi Jinadu, Senior Advisor Baltimore-Maryland, the goal is to introduce black Americans of African descent to their history. “There are many black Americans who do not know their origin in Africa,” he said during an interview on the occasion of the celebration of Gléxwé Xwé, 2022 edition. This partnership will allow black Americans to rebuild broken ties with their African past. According to Mr. Jinadu, in addition to the cultural and tourist component, this project takes into account an economic component which brings together all possible areas of cooperation for the two cities and for all humanity.
